Natural citrine is relatively rare and forms in hydrothermal veins, volcanic rocks, and sedimentary deposits. Hydrothermal veins occur when hot water circulates through rock fractures, depositing minerals in granite, pegmatite, or gneiss. The name “citrine” comes from the Latin word citrus (citron tree) via French citrin, reflecting its yellow color.
Citrine, a radiant yellow crystal, is often called the “Stone of Success” or “Merchant’s Stone” due to its strong connection with prosperity, wealth, and manifestation of goals.
